We are Susan Riley and Larry Dettweiler. We have been working in this field for 50 years. Here are some of the services we provide both in person and by phone or internet.
Individuals
Susan works primarily from the perspective of depth psychology. This approach assumes the importance of unconscious processes and involves dreamwork, journaling and a commitment to long term work. Larry also has an approach grounded in depth psychology and is particularly interested in psychosynthesis as an approach. However, in his many years of practice, he has found such other approaches as behavior modification, cognitive behavioral therapy, gestalt therapy, solution focused therapy, internal family systems therapy and other eclectic approaches to be very useful.
Groups
Susan offers groups which focus on dreams as the language of the soul. Although much of her work is based in Jungian psychology, eastern spiritual approaches, western transpersonal psychology and her experience with many teachers have been instrumental in her own unique approach to the language of dreams. Larry offers groups which focus primarily on men's issues.
